Restaurant Information

Drawing our inspiration from French Bistro cooking and Northwest fusion cuisine, Greystone offers a unique and welcoming experience to diners in Washington's Wine Country. As a casual fine dining eatery, you can enjoy an informal Bistro atmosphere, or a more decorative experience in our Dining Room. Greystone is located in the Historic District of Yakima, which has just completed a twelve million dollar restoration. Our building, the Lund Building, was constructed in 1899. Our decor reflects the early part of the last century, complete with mahogany trim, Tiffany glass and antique furniture from the period. Our iconic street clock, which is a downtown Yakima landmark, was erected as a memorial to one of Yakimas leading proponents of the last century.

We are a wine-oriented restaurant and we spend many hours seeking out wines that reflect the outstanding nature of our wonderful terroir. From direct-imported Champagne selections to small boutique wineries, many of our wines can only be acquired from the wine makers, and to that end we spend countless hours in the wine country developing relationships that enable us to offer wines that no one else can. Wine is a joyful passion with us, and we think you will share that joy with us when you dine at Greystone. Wine Country With a selection of over 20 wines by the glass and 250 wines by the bottle, we think you will enjoy the wide variety of choices you can make.

Our cuisine is unique in the Wine Country. Each dish is prepared with a total commitment to the freshest in local ingredients. We prepare our dinners without unnecessary interference in the expression of natural flavors and without irrelevant novelty. We offer a wide selection of Choice and Prime Beef, Poultry and Game Bird, Fish and Shell Fish as well as interesting and surprising Appetizers. We care deeply about food and how it interacts with wine, how it is prepared and how to offer you a choice of flavors that are true to themselves. We select and carve our own Beef from large primal cuts, which come from a trusted provider who has proven over the years their own commitment to the highest quality. We clean and prepare all our Seafood, which is delivered fresh every day from our purveyor of many years. We demand the highest performance from everyone involved in cooking your dinner, from our suppliers to our Kitchen staff.

Our service is unassuming, welcoming and generous. Our service staff maintains a low profile, but the focus is squarely on attentiveness to your needs. Our table service helps you experience the true warmth of the era from which Greystone springs.

We offer private rooms for up to 50 people, and more intimate rooms for up to 20. We also offer private dining in our unique Wine Cellar, which offers the romantic ambiance of a classic Wine Cave.
